When Michael douglas attended her daughter’s high school graduation, there was pomp, there were circumstances and just a tiny bit of awkwardness.
During a recent appearance on Kelly Clarkson’s Show, the 76-year-old actor was delighted to have attended his 18-year-old daughter’s graduation ceremony Carys– one of his two children with his wife Catherine zeta jones. And while the virtual celebration seemed to have gone off without a hitch, The Kominsky method star revealed that there was a confusion that, to be honest, sounded uncomfortable AF.
“It’s kinda hard when you go out and the other parents say, ‘Oh congratulations, you must be so proud of your granddaughter,'” the actor recalled. “I said, ‘Well, I don’t know, man. Yeah, okay.'”
Although the actor recalled that the remark was a bit “rude” to hear, he appeared to accept the comment without hesitation.
“I’m not going to take it personally,” he continued. “I think they’re just trying to be nice.”
