Mexican President tells Hispanic Americans not to vote for DeSantis

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is asking Hispanics in Florida not to vote for Ron DeSantis in his bid for the 2024 presidential nomination. The Mexican politician says DeSantis, like other Republicans, is using an anti-immigrant message for political purposes.

Despite his constant criticism of the US government for interfering in the politics of other countries, Lopez Obrador (AMLO) openly called on Hispanics in Florida not to give DeSantis a single vote.

“I will take the time to tell Mr. Santi (sic) who unmasked himself (this week), see that I was not mistaken,” Lopez Obrador said, waving his hand in greeting. “That his whole policy on migrants was because he wanted to be the candidate of the Republican Party.

The Mexican president criticized DeSantis saying he had enforced anti-migrant policies in his state and as such he hoped Hispanics would pay him back at the polls.

“I hope Hispanics in Florida wake up and don’t give him a single vote,” Lopez Obrador said. “Let them not vote for those who target migrants. Those who do not respect migrants.

Lopez Obrador called DeSantis a hypocrite and demanded he be investigated to see if he hired migrants.

DeSantis, like various other American politicians, has been highly critical of the Mexican government over the current fentanyl crisis. The extremely dangerous drug is linked to record overdose deaths. As Breitbart Texas reported, Lopez Obrador falsely denied that fentanyl was produced in Mexico and claimed the problem was caused by US demand for the drug. AMLO said Florida should be investigated to see if ports in that state could be the entry point for fentanyl from Asia.

As Breitbart Texas reported, Lopez Obrador has verbally clashed with American politicians who he believes are interfering in Mexican politics. He also said he would ask people not to vote for certain candidates who do not match his views.
