Mets’ Travis Jankowski out for two months with injury

The Mets lost an extra outfielder, as well as defenseman and speedster Travis Jankowski for maybe two months.
He was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Friday with a fractured left 4th metacarpal. He underwent surgery at the Special Surgery Hospital. Jankowski is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks.
The Mets did not immediately add an outfielder. Instead, they promoted pitchers Yoan Lopez and Steve Nogosek and demoted pitcher Thomas Szapucki.
