Alex Claudio, competing for a spot in the Mets’ bullpen, worked a scoreless eighth with one strikeout in his team’s 5-3 10-inning loss to the Astros at Clover Park. Southpaw Claudio hasn’t allowed a run in four appearances this spring.

Brandon Nimmo went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts from the starting spot and saw his Grapefruit League batting average drop to .182.

Caught my attention

Starling Marte stole second base in the first inning. It was his second straight game with a stolen base.
