Mets announcer hilariously imagines a conversation between Phillies fans in the stands

New York Mets announcer Gary Cohen may have a future in comedy. (Watch the video below.)

When the camera cut to two Philadelphia Phillies fans arguing as their team lost 6-1 at home in Game 2 of a doubleheader, broadcaster SNY walked us through the dialogue. At least in his mind.

“No, I want you to stay for the whole second game. They could rally, they could win,” joked Cohen, playing the guy in the viral clip.

The man and woman, who appeared to be a couple, seemed to come to some sort of resolution, so maybe Cohen was right. But unfortunately for the Philadelphia faithful, Sunday’s score remained the same.

The SNY team also recently highlighted the unusual interaction between umpire Chad Fairchild and Mets pitcher Chris Bassitt. Between innings last week, the ref could be seen apologizing for a missed third shot call with a “my bad” gesture.
