Metra executives speak out against proposed merger

CHICAGO (CBS)– Metra executives are set to speak out against a proposed merger of two major rail companies.

Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern want to come together and create a single railroad stretching from Mexico to Canada.

Metra says the merger will cause a big increase in freight train traffic in the northwest suburbs and that all that extra traffic could disrupt their service and cause major delays.
