Melissa Joan Hart helped kids escape Nashville school shooting

Melissa Joan Hart acted as a hero for survivors who escaped the shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday.
Hart, who lives in Nashville with her husband Mark Wilkerson and their three children, opened up about her experience in a moving video she posted to Instagram on Tuesday.
“Hi guys,” she began the video. “For those of you who know, I live in Nashville, and what’s happening here today, uh…my kids go to school right next to a school where there was a shooting today.”
She said: “We moved here from Connecticut where we were at a school a little further from Sandy Hook, so this is our second experience with a school shooting with our kids nearby.”

Hart assured her followers that she and her family were doing well, but said she and her husband came into contact with survivors as they fled the school.
“My husband and I were on our way to school for some lectures,” she explained, “and luckily our kids weren’t here today, and we helped a kindergarten class through a busy highway.”

Starting to cry, she continued, “They were coming out of the woods, trying to escape the shooter situation at their school. So we helped all these little kids cross the road and bring their teachers over there, we helped a mother reunite with her children…”
She looked flustered for a moment before raising a hand to her head and saying, “I don’t know what to say anymore. That’s right, enough is enough.”
