Mehmet Oz mocked by Senate foe John Fetterman with sassy airplane banner

Pennsylvania Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate, John Fetterman, has taken off to poke fun at GOP opponent Mehmet Oz’s sometimes residency in the state he wants to represent.

Fetterman, who is currently Pennsylvania’s lieutenant governor, tackled the state’s confusion by flying a cheeky airplane banner over the beaches of southern New Jersey over the weekend reading: ” Hey Dr Oz: Welcome home to New Jersey! John.”

“Air Troll!!!!” Fetterman bragged in an emailed statement to HuffPost.

“The banner will fly from Cape May to Brigantine on one of the biggest holiday weekends of the year. It will literally reach *thousands* of bathers on the shore, where so many Pennsylvania families vacation every year,” he added.

Fetterman also tweeted a photo of the banner:

He wondered in another tweet if Oz could at least see Pennsylvania from his “sprawling mansion” in New Jersey.

The Turkish situation has raised national security concerns – even from Trump’s friend and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Oz claimed he would give up his Turkish citizenship if he won a seat in the Senate (representing Pennsylvania, not New Jersey).

Oz could not be reached for comment.
