Meghan Markle’s public display of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II prompted the hashtag #GoHomeMeghanMarkle to trend on Twitter on Monday, with royal fans accusing the Duchess of Sussex of hypocrisy because she reneged on her royal duties and trashed his in-laws in the media.
Over the weekend, Meghan Markle joined her husband Prince Harry in public mourning duties for the late Queen as she greeted well-wishers outside Windsor Castle. In a TikTok video circulating online, the Duchess of Sussex is seen consoling another grieving person and saying: ‘Thank you for being here, it means so much to the family. We appreciate that.”

Markle’s inclusion in the royal family angered many who cited Meghan and Harry’s formal relinquishment of royal duties in 2020, an event known as “Megxit”. Some have also accused the former TV actress of creating a rift in the Royal Family and faking her grief for the Queen.
Others have spoken of the Sussexes’ decision to air their grievances against the Royal Family publicly during the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview last year. During the interview, the couple claimed to have been the target of racist comments from at least one member of the royal family.
#GoHomeMeghanMarkle Meghan Markle’s blatant audacity, arrogance and insensitivity to step into the crowd to meet grieving British citizens.
She has defamed the RF and Britain many times and, IMO, hastened HM’s demise. She’s just a vile predator.#BOOOMeghanMarkle

Meghan Markle’s own father nearly died of a stroke and she didn’t even bother to call or see him…watching her fussing around Windsor pretending to be sad afterwards to have made the Queen’s last years a misery is sickening.#GoHomeMeghanMarkle pic.twitter.com/iMSL4YAmAw

They weren’t shy about going to see the Queen while she was alive, lots of invitations but turned them all down!
But they dare to come “look at the flowers” when she’s dead#GoHomeMeghanMarkle #GoHomeMeghanandHarry pic.twitter.com/SDMjP2frpV

It was this woman who said someone in the British press called her son the N-word. We must never forget the lows this woman will fall into for media coverage. #GoHomeMeghanMarkle
