Meghan Markle called a hypocrite for including herself in the royal family during the Queen’s mourning, #GoHomeMeghanMarkle Trends
Meghan Markle’s public display of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II prompted the hashtag #GoHomeMeghanMarkle to trend on Twitter on Monday, with royal fans accusing the Duchess of Sussex of hypocrisy because she reneged on her royal duties and trashed his in-laws in the media.
Over the weekend, Meghan Markle joined her husband Prince Harry in public mourning duties for the late Queen as she greeted well-wishers outside Windsor Castle. In a TikTok video circulating online, the Duchess of Sussex is seen consoling another grieving person and saying: ‘Thank you for being here, it means so much to the family. We appreciate that.”

Markle’s inclusion in the royal family angered many who cited Meghan and Harry’s formal relinquishment of royal duties in 2020, an event known as “Megxit”. Some have also accused the former TV actress of creating a rift in the Royal Family and faking her grief for the Queen.
Others have spoken of the Sussexes’ decision to air their grievances against the Royal Family publicly during the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview last year. During the interview, the couple claimed to have been the target of racist comments from at least one member of the royal family.
