The Duchess of Sussex has written a children’s book inspired by the relationship between her husband Prince Harry and their son Archie.

Called The Bench, Meghan’s first post for young people is about the special bond between a father and son – seen through a mother’s eyes.

Random House Children’s Books has announced that the illustrated book will go on sale June 8 and features works by award-winning artist Christian Robinson, the Duchess telling the audiobook.

“This poem has become this story.

Meghan wanted the book to capture the ‘warmth, joy and comfort’ of the father-son relationship

“Christian layered beautiful and ethereal watercolor illustrations that capture the warmth, joy and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all walks of life; this portrayal was especially important to me and Christian and I worked closely collaboration to illustrate this special bond through an inclusive lens.

“My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, regardless of makeup, as much as it does with mine.”
