The Mega Millions jackpot in Friday’s drawing jumped to around $284 million after no one won the jackpot on Tuesday.
The winning numbers are expected to be drawn Friday around 11 p.m. ET, and we’ll have the results below.
If a lucky player wins the $284 million Mega Millions jackpot on Friday, they can walk away with about $130 million after taxes.
In March, a New Jersey player won the first Mega Millions jackpot of the year: a whopping $1.13 billion.

The winning numbers for Friday May 3 were 13, 53, 15, 56 and 6 with a Mega Ball of 11. The Megaplier was 2X.

How to play Mega Millions
To buy a ticket, you’ll need to go to your local convenience store, gas station, or grocery store – and in a handful of states, you can buy tickets online.
To play, you will need to choose six numbers. Five numbers will be white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The golden Mega Ball is a number between 1 and 25.
If you think the odds are against you, request a “Quick Pick” or “Easy Pick” and the computer will generate the numbers randomly for you.
Players can add the “Megaplier” for $1, which can increase non-grand prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn before the Mega Millions numbers on Tuesday and Friday.
