Ireland returned to victory in the Six Nations on Saturday crushing Italy 48-10 in Rome, registering six tries in a dominant display.

Garry Ringrose, Hugo Keenan, Will Connors (two), CJ Stander and Keith Earls clinched the downs, while skipper Johnny Sexton added two penalties and six conversions.

Ireland also had other tries from Stander and James Lowe canceled by TMO Romain Poite – while an effort by Iain Henderson in the first half was not inexplicably attributed.

Johan Meyer clinched the only Italian try of the day, with the Azzurri still not having won a Six Nations victory since the 2015 championship.
