GREENBELT, Md. (WJZ) — Two flatmates in their apartment after the holidays this month and found two strangers in bed. Their furniture, food, clothing and kitchen cabinet doors were all missing, Greenbelt Police said.
Residents of the flat, located in the 9300 block of Edmonton Road, told police they left their fully furnished home on March 28 and returned from vacation on April 5 to find their doorstep. entrance damaged and the apartment in ruins.

Residents found trash on the walls and trash bags full of personal effects in the living room. Police said all furniture in the house was missing except for a bed, on which residents found the man and woman.
A police spokesperson told WJZ the male suspect was not initially hostile and told the housemates he had sold their property. The duo fled the apartment when residents questioned them further, police say.

The victims lost $49,100 in property, police said.
The Greenbelt Police Department released footage of the suspects after an investigation yielded no results or identification, a spokesperson said. The images posted are screenshots of a video recorded by a resident of the meeting.
