It’s a nightmarish evening for Marseille’s Amine Harit. In the 58th minute of the match between AS Monaco and Olympique de Marseille, the Moroccan international went out on a stretcher after a bad blow to the knee
“From what we know, it’s a very big injury,” announced his coach Igor Tudor, on Prime Video. “He got injured just before the World Cup, we talked about it all week, I’m very sad”.
Taken to hospital
Harit was taken to hospital for tests, his teammates and Tudor said.
“We are saddened by this injury, it seems to me to be a bit serious all the same”, reacted his teammate Matteo Guendouzi at the microphone of the match broadcaster.
“It’s very difficult, we know what’s behind it, the dream for him to play it again, since he had played that of 2018″, added the midfielder retained with the Blues. He is an exceptional boy with his mentality and who is making a very good start to the season, it hurts my heart, all the same”.
Blessed after a duel
The midfielder seems to have injured his knee in a duel with Monegasque defender Axel Disasi (58th).
“I take the ball. And on the run-up, I feel a contact. At the moment, I don’t see anything. But I feel like a crutch on my thigh” explained Disasi after the meeting.
Writhing in pain, he remained on the lawn. His teammates, such as Matteo Guendouzi, waved their arms to call the healers. The OM medical staff busied themselves over Harit under the worried gaze of the players, both Marseille and Monegasque.
Harit was on the list of 26 players selected by Moroccan coach Oualid Regragui for the World Cup in Qatar (November 20-December 18).
