Twitter users accused Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) Of projection after calling Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) “Karen.”
Cheney slammed Fox News and Tucker Carlson on Thursday for his upcoming specials on the U.S. Capitol Riot. A trailer for the show includes a claim that the violence instigated by Donald Trump on January 6 was a “false flag.” Cheney tagged Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch and network CEO Suzanne Scott in her post.
QAnon member Greene sneered, “Are you calling @TuckerCarlson manager, Karen?”
Greene’s irony of using the term “Karen,” a label commonly used to refer to white women exhibiting privileged behavior, has not been lost on Twitter users.
Greene (whom late-night comedian Trevor Noah has dubbed “Osama Bin Karen”) compared House’s mask mandates to the Holocaust, said she didn’t believe in evolution, pushed a theory conspiracy over Jewish space lasers that set off wildfires in California and liked social media posts calling for the execution of prominent Democrats, which saw her stripped of her House committee assignments.
