Mario Delgado asked the INE to withdraw the registration of the PAN after his links with García Luna

Mario Delgado accused the PAN of complicity with García Luna

The leader of Morena, Mario Delgado Carrillo, asked the National Electoral Institutehe (INE) withdraw the registration of the National Action Party (PAN) in view of the recent affirmations of contracts related to companies linked to the former Secretary of Public Security, Genaro Garcia Luna accused of drug trafficking by the United States.

The Morenista national president used his social networks to publish a video message in which he indicated that the electoral body had sufficient evidence to demonstrate the relationship between National Action and the former secretary of security, so it should not be considered as a political faction, but as an institution related to organized crime.

“The PAN is no longer a political party, but a criminal organization and must lose his registration as we have requested so that it does not put our country at risk of having criminal rulers again,” said Mario Delgado.

This is not the first time that the morenista asks the electoral agency to remove the blue and white party from the registry, since since the García Luna verdict was given, on February 22, a wave of criticism and accusations have been fired against Acción Nacional . However, it was not until March 14 that the party leader admitted having signed contracts with companies related to the former Mexican secretary.

During a video conference Marko Cortés, leader of the PAN, admitted that in 2015 the party closed a deal with a company that had Genero García Luna as a partner. However, he stressed that during this process the relationship between the institution was unknown.

These statements would contradict the position of the members of Acción Nacional, who distanced themselves from García Luna since his trial in the New York Court, justifying that he was never part of the party and that therefore the institution should not be singled out for it.

For his part, Marko Cortés stressed that the contract signed years ago was the only one that was entered into with said company, and that the agreement was also registered before the electoral body as transparency exercise. However, the blue and white condemned these accusations as part of a “political percussion” by the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).

“We were not aware of it, but part of the persecution and this desperate attempt to discredit to the strongest opposition of our country, because that is what the president has been pointing out,” said Marko Cortés.

On March 9, the head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Pablo Gomez, revealed a series of investigations on the American companies in which García Luna was considered a partner, which entered into contracts with Mexican institutions.

It was during the daily conference of the federal president that the head of the investigation unit explained the project “Lattice Garcia Luna “, which revealed at least 10 contracts between companies of the former Secretary of Security during the six-year term of the former president Felipe Calderon Hinojosa (2006 -2012) which could amount to an amount of USD 316 million 675 thousand 995.

However, among the most notable of the investigations was the contract that Acción Nacional made with the company Glac Security Consulting Technology Risk Management Inc, which received, on April 24, 2015, a bank transfer for a total of one million 160 thousand pesos for the “loan of services”.

“The commercial connection between the PAN and Glac Security was not unrelated to the relationship with his party, many things have been said in disclaimer of obvious political responsibilities, but here there is evidence that they are no longer ideas, here they are commercial links” , highlighted Pablo Gómez from the National Palace.
