Maralee Nichols Says Tristan Thompson Didn’t Attempt to Meet Her Son

Maralee Nichols hope Tristan Thompson steps up his parenting game.

Nearly two months after welcoming the NBA player’s third child, Maralee says the athlete hasn’t been very involved in their son’s life.

“Despite reports to the contrary, Tristan Thompson has done nothing to support their son,” Maralee’s rep said in a statement to E! News on Feb. 15 after an article appeared claiming he would be paying $40,000 a month. “He made no attempt to meet their son and provided no financial assistance. Going forward, we hope reporters covering this situation will contact us to confirm the facts before publishing.”

E! News reached out to Tristan’s team for comment, but did not hear back.

News broke in December that Maralee had filed a paternity lawsuit against the Indiana Pacers player earlier in the year. According to court documents obtained by E! News, the baby was conceived in Houston, Texas in March when Tristan was in town to celebrate his 30th birthday.
