Anuel Lanzini has been able to walk away from a car accident he was involved in on Thursday as he returned to West Ham’s training ground.
The midfielder was returning to the club’s Rush Green base after his international spell with the Argentina side, when he was involved in the accident on the A12.
It is understood he was sitting in the back seat of a chauffeur-driven car at the time of the crash.
Lanzini, 29, was able to walk away from the scene and underwent brief medical checks after help arrived.
Fortunately for the player and West Ham, he is believed to have escaped injury but will likely need further testing before deciding if he can face Everton on Sunday.
The Toffees travel to the London Stadium for the Premier League kick-off at 2pm, before the Hammers host Lyon in the Europa League quarter-final first leg. Lanzini is already suspended for this game.
