Manuel Belgrano Scholarships 2022: how to apply to collect $20,000 per month

This Monday February 21 Registration opens for the Manuel Belgrano 2022 Scholarships, an initiative of the National Government that pays $20,000 per month for one year to students of selected strategic careersin case they meet a series of requirements such as having passed subjects during the past year.

The Manuel Belgrano Strategic Scholarship Program is a scholarship system to promote access, permanence and completion of undergraduate and graduate studies in eight areas of public policy considered key to the economic development of the country and social equality.

The scholarships have a duration of 12 months, and can be renewed each year up to a maximum of 3 years in undergraduate courses and 5 years in graduate courses.

Food, Environment, Computing and Informatics, Conventional and Alternative Energy, Gas, Logistics and Transportation, Mining, Oil and Basic Sciences.

Promote the admission, continuity and graduation of students in central disciplines for economic and social development. Promote the strategic link between Public Universities, the national technological-productive system and the labor market.

The program is aimed at regular students (entrants and students) of Argentine nationality enrolled in a National or Provincial Public University in any of the careers established in the call.

Must be:

– Native or naturalized Argentines with DNI.

– Regular students from national and provincial universities of public management who enter in the first semester of the year 2022 or who are studying at the time of registration any of the undergraduate or undergraduate university careers defined by the program.

– Incoming students between 18 and 30 years of age and current students up to 35 years of age.

– People with disabilities or native peoples without age limits.

The program will open the possibility of renewing the benefit to the 24,000 2021 scholarship holders during the month of February. Beneficiaries must meet the academic and socioeconomic requirements established in the call to be able to access the renewal.

As of February 21, registration will reopen to new applicants and the program will expand its call to reach 36,000 scholarships. There is time until March 30 to register.

The scholarships have a duration of 12 months, renewable according to the conditions established in the General Regulations.

The monthly amount of the scholarship is the equivalent of the net remuneration of 2 (two) simple second assistantships adjustable annually with the joint teaching agreement. That is, $20,000 per month to date.

The scholarships are incompatible with other benefits of a similar nature granted by the National State (such as the Progresar Scholarships and the YPF Scholarships).

The registration date extends from February 21 to March 30, 2022.

In response to the difficulties generated by the COVID-19 pandemic in previous years, during the 2022 call, the academic requirements for advanced students will be established based on the following criteria:

Students must have passed 2 (two) semester subjects or 1 (one) annual subject during the year 2021.

The monthly amount of the scholarship is the equivalent of the net remuneration of 2 (two) simple second assistantships adjustable annually with the joint teaching agreement. That is, $20,000 per month as of today

The approved finals of regularized subjects in years prior to the scholarship will be counted.

The subjects taken and approved in free condition will be counted for the certification.

The subjects must have been approved or promoted between January 1 and December 31, 2021, without exception.

In the case of new applicants, these requirements will not be required for students who have entered their careers in the second quarter of 2021 or will begin their careers in 2022. They will be evaluated as entrants in this call. In these cases, the condition of regular student will be certified with their respective universities.

The scholarships will be assigned according to the criteria established in the general regulations, taking into account gender equity, regional balance and the inclusion of groups defined as priority.

The results will be published on the platform on Monday, May 2, 2022. They will be reported individually in the “Status of my application” section of the program website.
