Manly Sea Eagles vs Parramatta Eels results, Mitchell Moses plays
By
A shrewd move from Mitchell Moses was not enough to score the Parramatta Eels’ victory over the Manly Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval on Thursday night.
It looked like Tom Trbojevic had his second try of the game after crossing the line early in the second half, but was called back when Moses was spotted lying on the grass.
Manly center Brad Parker was penalized for making direct contact with Moses, taking him out of the game.

However, Nine commentators Phil Gould, Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler could only laugh at the half-back’s “brilliant” ploy.
They suggested the crafty No.7 made a habit of looking for contact in the defensive line in order to prevent opposition tries.
“He’s a genius, Mitchell Moses, too,” Gould said.
“He can find them.

“He did a very similar one in the grand final last year, and they gave the try. It’s his big goal-line play – to get in the way of those fake runners. He’s a genius at this domain.”
Fittler agreed.
“I’m with you Gus,” Fittler said.
“I think he came in at half-time and thought, ‘You know what? … I have to turn the situation around and put it in my favor, and just jump in front of someone “.”

Johns then wondered who could have taught Moses such a tactic.
“Uncle Benny?” he laughed, referring to Moses’ uncle and Balmain legend Ben Elias.
“It’s in the DNA,” Gould added.
Trbojevic then had another chance to add to his stats, leaping off a Josh Schuster kick to score.
It sparked a flood of tries from the home side as Parker, Haumole Olakau’atu and Reuben Garrick came through as the Sea Eagles won 34-30.
