Deadline to finish Marcel Sabitzer is in line to make a quick first start for the club with the midfielder particularly light on numbers.
The Bayern Munich loanee is the natural choice to partner Fred in midfielder Erik ten Hag with Casemiro banned for three games after being shown a red card for grabbing Will Hughes by the throat at the weekend.
Christian Eriksen has already been ruled out until the end of April with an ankle injury and Scott McTominay has been missing for the last three games with an unspecified issue. Another long-time absentee is Donny van de Beek.
Sabitzer made his debut from the bench late in the win over Crystal Palace and is now set to start in the rearranged game against Leeds.
