Manchester United ‘shock plot’ for Chelsea star N’Golo Kante as Erik ten Hag prepares for Old Trafford overhaul

Manchester United have been linked with a surprise move from Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

The path from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford is well marked, with the likes of Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata making the switch in recent years.

The Red Devils are reportedly keen on signing another Chelsea star over the summer, according to The Mirror.

The 31-year-old will have one more year left on his contract this summer and the Blues could take advantage of it.

The France World Cup winner signed for Chelsea in 2016 from Leicester in a £32million deal and helped them to Premier League and Champions League success.

The club hopes to set up its transfer business if and when Todd Boehly and his consortium complete their takeover.

Chelsea have not even been able to agree contract extensions with the players under the current restrictions placed on them.

For Manchester United, a huge overhaul will be needed under Erik ten Hag this summer.
