Manchester United player Mason Greenwood arrested for breaching bail conditions

Manchester United player Mason Greenwood has been arrested on suspicion of breaching bail conditions.
The 21-year-old attacker has been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of rape, assault and death threats.
He was arrested again on Saturday on suspicion of breaching bail conditions by contacting his alleged victim.
A GMP spokesperson said: “Greater Manchester Police are aware of an allegation of a 21-year-old man breaching his bail conditions and an arrest was made on Saturday October 15, 2022.
“Investigations are ongoing at this time.”
Greenwood was originally arrested in January and released on bail in February after three nights in police custody.
His bond was due to expire in April, but was extended after GMP went to court.
It was further extended after a hearing in June.

Greenwood was suspended by Man United and his last appearance for the club came in January against West Ham.
He scored 22 goals in 83 Premier League games for the Red Devils.
He has been left out of United’s Europa League squad this season and fans have been barred from buying shirts bearing his name and the number 11 on the back.
Sports maker Nike has terminated its sponsorship deal with the footballer and Electronic Arts (EA) has removed him from active squads on the computer game FIFA.
