Manchester United introduced new signing Casemiro to Old Trafford fans ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool.
The club last week announced a deal worth an initial £60m, plus a further £10m in add-ons, after reaching a tentative deal with Real Madrid.
Casemiro underwent a medical over the weekend before signing a four-year deal with an option for a further 12 months, believed to be worth around £375,000 a week.
Earlier on Monday, the midfielder bade farewell to Real Madrid with an emotional press conference where he explained the reasons behind his move.
“I spoke to my wife and she said I sound like an 18-year-old kid who is super excited about his new project and I feel so excited about playing in the Premier League,” Casemiro said.
“If I could I would play for United against Liverpool today.”
He added: “I want to show my fighting spirit, my ability to work hard and my professional attitude. I want to win the league.
“I’m living one of the best moments of my career. I feel like I’m really fit, mentally I feel good and I want to continue enjoying it. It’s a great moment to make this decision.
