Manchester United have warned new loan signing Marcel Sabitzer will become ‘unpleasant’ if he doesn’t play as Erik ten Hag secures Christian Eriksen’s replacement on deadline day

Manchester United have been warned that new signing Marcel Sabitzer becomes ‘unpleasant’ when not playing.
That was the message from the star’s agent, Roger Wittmann, speaking after the Red Devils agreed a deadline-day loan move for the Bayern Munich midfielder.
He was signed as a replacement for Christian Eriksen, who is expected to miss much of the season with an ankle injury.
The 28-year-old bolsters Erik ten Hag’s options in midfield as they continue to struggle in four competitions this season.
The message from the player’s agent was optimistic, but Ten Hag and United fans will no doubt love his competitive nature.
“[He’s] the nastiest person to be around when he’s not playing,” Wittmann said via Goal.
“He hates when he loses. That’s the bottom line. Character-wise, the kid is a killer. That’s what players who always want to win look like.
Sabitzer’s move went quickly and the Austria international was eager to get started with his new team-mates.

“Sometimes in life you have to make quick and big decisions,” Sabitzer told the club after his move.
“From the moment I heard about this opportunity I knew it was right for me. I am a competitive player; I want to win and help the club achieve their goals this season.
“I feel like I’m at my peak as a player and I can bring a lot of experience and energy to the team.
“I am delighted to start with my new team-mates and my manager and show my qualities to the Manchester United fans.”
