Manchester United fans swear #EmptyOldTrafford against Liverpool in latest anti-Glazer protest

Anchester United fans have threatened to boycott the upcoming derby against Liverpool in a bid to kick the Glazer family out of the club.

A series of anti-Glazer protests have taken place at Old Trafford in recent years, including fans who stormed the pitch to have the North West Derby scrapped in May 2021.

Once again, the Liverpool game has been booked for the August 22 clash subject to an #EmptyOldTrafford protest.

Angry United fans have rallied on social media to encourage others to stay away from the stadium, leaving rows of seats empty in a clear protest against the direction the club is heading.

One fan wrote: “If you like Manchester United, stay out of Old Trafford. #EmptyOldTrafford.

Another tweeted: “Short term pain for long term gain. #EmptyOldTrafford.

And one of them commented: “I haven’t missed a home game in nine years. I will miss this one. I’m sick of the Glazers. We only have a few things in life that we love, I’m not letting those Glazers ruin this one anymore. Man Utd v Liverpool #EmptyOldTrafford.

After a 2-1 loss to Brighton to open their season, United faltered with a bid for veteran striker Marko Arnautovic and are now traveling to Brentford ahead of the Liverpool game.
