Manchester United have been called an “Instagram team” by former Wales and Liverpool striker Dean Saunders.
The talkSPORT host was speaking after the release of Paul Pogba’s ‘Pogumentary’ after a season in which the Red Devils had their worst ever Premier League campaign.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick led the team to a record points and goals conceded record, finishing sixth in the table in an unforgettable season.
Pogba has since left the club as a free agent, following Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani and Juan Mata on the doorstep after largely disappointing spells at Old Trafford.
France’s World Cup winner was the biggest disappointment of the lot, however, joining the club as the world’s most expensive player in 2016, and later leaving with just three trophies to show for.
“It’s all a disaster,” Saunders told the Weekend Sports Breakfast.
“Man United are the only club that can give a player free twice and pay £90m for him.
“I’m not going to watch this documentary on purpose because Man United are like an Instagram team – football comes second.

“Talk on the pitch and then you can do as many documentaries as you want.
“Whether [Mohamed] Salah or [Sergio] Aguero made a documentary that I would watch, I admire them, week after week, earning their salaries.
“When someone doesn’t earn their salary and then makes a documentary, that sums it all up.”
