Manchester United 2-2 Leeds: Jadon Sancho secures point in thrilling Premier League draw

Wilfried Gnonto had put the visitors ahead in less than a minute, catching a United side missing control of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen’s midfield.
Jadon Sancho’s first goal since September saved a point for Manchester United in a thrilling draw with rivals Leeds.
Wilfried Gnonto had put the visitors ahead in less than a minute, catching a United side missing control of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen’s midfield.
The home side squandered a host of chances to equalize in the first half, before Leeds looked to have stormed into a winning position early in the second half as Raphael Varane crossed his own net to double the benefit of visitors.
However, in-form Marcus Rashford brought the hosts back into the game in the 62nd minute and Sancho came off the bench to save his side a point eight minutes later, pressing the ball past goalkeeper Illan Meslier.
Old Trafford felt another strong comeback would be completed by a late winner, but their side fizzled, failing to win at home for the first time in 14 matches in all competitions.
United remained third in the table, three points ahead of fourth-placed Newcastle United, having played one game more.
Managerless Leeds climbed one place to 16th, one point clear of the relegation zone.
