Man United v Liverpool FC LIVE! Pre-season friendly

Erik ten Hag takes charge of United for the first time today as the club’s pre-season kicks off in Bangkok with a friendly against Liverpool. Despite the lack of competitive stakes, the new manager will no doubt be keen to score a goal against a direct rival ahead of the new season.

United arrived in Thailand at the weekend but without Cristiano Ronaldo, who is trying to get away from the club less than a year after arriving. Fans at the 51,000-seat Rajamangala Stadium should, however, expect to see debuts for Tyrell Malacia and Liverpool new signings Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho.

Jurgen Klopp and Ten Hag have both insisted that working on match fitness is the name of the game this afternoon, but these two teams will also want to put on a show. Follow Standard Sport below!
