A man from Ormond Beach is accused of spraying bleach on a 4-year-old and soaking a room in fuel. Authorities were called to a house on E Avenue in Ormond Beach after a request from a Daytona Beach Police Department. According to MPs, a woman showed a Daytona Beach Police Department officer a clip of Mack Arline pouring tiki torch fuel around their house and spraying the child with Clorox on his face. The woman said Officer Arline was heavily drunk and also threatened to kill their children and burn the house down, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. Arline was in a car with an 11-month-old and a 2-year-old when MPs arrived, attempting to exit an alley, according to the report. MPs say the baby was lying on Arline’s chest and the 2-year-old was not strapped in the passenger seat either. The two children were taken to safety by the authorities while Arline was apprehended. Inside the car, authorities say they found a bottle of vodka and a plastic cup in the driver’s cup holder which “smelled of alcohol.” , indicates the report. Arline faces multiple charges including aggravated child abuse, attempted arson, impaired driving and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Officials say he also violated his probation on an earlier false jail charge. Arline will be held without bail in Volusia County.

Arline will be held without bail in Volusia County.
