Man shot in chest, killed in St. Louis County lawn clipping dispute


ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Allen Waller’s fiancée describes his murder as senseless. The 29-year-old father was killed on Sunday after an argument broke out between him and his neighbor’s landscaper.

A man was shot and killed in northern St. Louis County on Sunday morning.

Waller’s fiancee said they had been complaining to their neighbor for years about garden debris left by her landscaper.

“Fool, four bullets in the chest. Why ? This question keeps Waller’s fiancée from sleeping at night.

The Ring Doorbell video shows the moments before and after the shoot. The video shows the neighbor bringing two men past Waller’s door. They come around the corner of the house out of the frame, then the seconds pass and the neighbor is seen sprinting into her yard. The video reveals a third man walking from a truck parked on the street with a gun.

Waller’s fiancée suspects that the gunman shot him point blank in the chest.

St. Louis County Police said the shooting occurred in Waller’s Alley in the 400 block of Macdougall Drive shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday morning. Police say they cannot comment further on the ongoing investigation, but say they have an optimistic view of the case.
