Man shot and killed on red line in West Chatham – NBC Chicago

A man was shot dead early Saturday on the red line in Greater Grand Crossing.

At around 2:05 a.m., the 29-year-old was in a train car in the 100 block of West 79th Street when a person opened fire, Chicago police said.

The man was hit in the chest and abdomen. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died, police said.

No arrests have been made and area detectives are investigating.
