A man was fatally shot in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago on Saturday after what started as a fight at a shoe store, law enforcement said.
The shooting was reported at 12:58 p.m. inside Snipes, 4700 S. Cottage Grove Ave. According to Chicago police, a fight ensued between two men and at one point one of them pulled out a gun and began shooting at the other. individual.
The victim was shot twice in the chest and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
A woman working in security across the street told NBC 5 she heard gunshots and the victim was trying to get into a silver car when it collapsed.
