Man City legend Sergio Aguero looks happy and healthy as he posts tennis training video and Manchester United star David de Gea compares him to David Nalbandian

Sergio Aguero has made a comeback to the sport after his heart problems with the Man City legend by posting a video of him playing tennis.

The former Barcelona striker was forced to retire from football in December 2021 just months after joining the club due to chest pain.

Aguero had to retire from football at the age of 33, but fans were delighted to see him playing sports again

The iconic forward was showing his skills on a clay court and looked like a seasoned pro after producing a series of forehands and backhands.

Inevitably, once the rally was over, Aguero walked away with a smile on his face after winning the point.

The former Atletico Madrid striker posted the clip and added the caption “Entrenado” which translates to “training”, hinting that he is looking to improve his skills on the tennis court.

In the comments section, Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea wrote: “Nalbandian” in reference to former Argentina world number three and Wimbledon finalist David Nalbandian.

It’s also not the first time the Man City legend has grabbed a tennis racket.

He joined his compatriot Juan Martin del Potro in the 2012 ATP World Tour final at the O2 Arena.

Aguero was attending his match as a spectator and was asked to play with Del Potro, which didn’t last very long when he hilariously sent his forehand into orbit.

While he was extremely sad to see the five-time Premier League champion retiring prematurely, fans will be happy to see him fit and healthy and based on the still extremely competitive Instagram video.

Novak Djokovic should be careful though, as it may only be a matter of time before Aguero competes with him in Grand Slam tournaments.
