Man ambushed by 3 gunmen in Miami’s North Alley – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

NORTHERN MIAMI, FLA. (WSVN) – A man pulled into his driveway when he was ambushed by three gunmen, forcing him to run for his life.

The victim spoke exclusively to 7News about his near-death meeting.

“Seconds of something that’s a life and death situation,” said Angelo Santa Cruz.

Nine seconds of terror were caught on surveillance video in North Miami.

“Get out of the vehicle and as I get here I see people pulling over completely around the corner,” Santa Cruz said.

Santa Cruz was coming home from work, parking and getting out of his car when suddenly he said three people rushed up to him – all three with guns.

“I think twice, ‘Is he really coming for me? Is he coming for someone else he’s chasing? Is he perhaps in danger? ‘ “, did he declare.

This confusion quickly turned into worry and fear.

Faced with a gun, Santa Cruz did the only thing he could: run as fast as he could.

“I’m running. That’s when I come face to face with the individual over there,” he said.

Santa Cruz ran across the street towards his neighbor’s house. He wanted to jump the fence, but he never did. It’s because as quickly as it started it ended. These three people turned and ran away.

“I had that distance gap in the back, and that’s when they decided to jump in the car and ran down the block.

With three children, Santa Cruz looked back, worried about what his wife might have done at home.

“Over there thinking my wife will stop in 10 minutes and see me on the floor or hopefully nothing’s happening to me, God willing.”

But he’s glad he and his family are safe, and he wants these guys arrested.

“For this to really happen to you, maybe it was a random act, but who really needs to know,” Santa Cruz said.

The three armed men did not succeed.

Santa Cruz said he moved into his home in December and is already considering moving.

He believes the three men were driving an SUV.
