ST CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KMOV.com) – A 16-year-old man and girl have been arrested after throwing lit Molotov cocktails at Sauce on the Side because the man was angry he was fired from the restaurant .






Rashaad Cotton, 23, has been charged with arson, fist and third degree assault, criminal action with a weapon and resisting arrest. He is being held on $ 25,000 cash bond only.




St. Charles Town Police officials said Rashaad Cotton, 23, was driving while throwing lit Molotov cocktails just after 6 p.m. He landed in someone’s backyard. He then hired a silver Hyundai Elantra with the 16-year-old and another woman and drove off.

Cotton then launched another at Sauce on the Side on Beale Street in the mall near the Drury. Police said a 29-year-old man sat on the patio and suffered minor burns to his thigh.

Heather Kraleman and her husband were eating outside Sauce on the Side in St. Charles when they got caught in the mess of a man throwing Molotov cocktails at the restaurant. The couple said it started when they heard a woman screaming.

About five minutes later, police received a report of the Elantra crash at the Bass Pro store on North 5th Street. Police said Cotton resisted arrest and officers must massacre him to take him into custody. Two policemen sustained minor injuries to their hands while trying to stop him.

The 16-year-old was taken into police custody. Police said a 26-year-old woman and her baby were also in the car. Its implication is still unclear.

Police said it was all because Cotton was recently fired from Sauce on the Sauce and was angry about it. The first bomb he dropped in the residential area was a test to make sure the Molotov was working.

Cotton has been charged with one count of arson, punching and assault in the third degree, criminal action with a weapon and resisting arrest. He is being held on $ 25,000 cash bond only. The 16-year-old in the county family court detention center.
