Ludwig, streamer who broke all-time Twitch subscription record this year, switches to YouTube Gaming

Ludwig Ahgren, a streamer perhaps best known for his month-long subathon that took place earlier this year, moves from Twitch to stream exclusively on YouTube Gaming. Ahgren’s first YouTube stream will take place tomorrow, November 30.

Ludwig leaves behind a significant presence on Twitch. He has 3.1 million subscribers and statistics from TwitchTracker show he has over 27,000 subscribers at the time of writing. And by the end of his sub-athon, he had broken the all-time Twitch subscription record – TwitchTracker says it peaked at 283,066 followers. But it won’t start from scratch on YouTube, where it already has 2.08 million subscribers.

Ahgren is the latest streamer to move from Twitch to YouTube in recent times, after Ben “DrLupo” Lupo and Tim “TimTheTatMan” Betar jumped in August and September, respectively. YouTube also brought in Jack “CouRage” Dunlop in 2019 (who announced on November 23 that he stay on the platform), and Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter in 2020.
