Lovers & Friends Festival upset by last-minute weather cancelation

Thousands of fans who planned to see artists such as Ciara, Nelly Furtado and Gwen Stefani perform at a sold-out music festival in Las Vegas this weekend woke up Saturday to a drastic change in their plans, after organizers canceled the event due to expected high winds.

The Lovers & Friends Festival, a nostalgia-laden hip-hop and R&B event, was scheduled to kick off Saturday at the Sin City festival grounds with big names including Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige and Usher.
