Boos from Liverpool have confirmed that Roberto Firmino is back and available after his recent injury, although the Brazilian may struggle to break into the squad immediately ahead of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s trip, Klopp revealed the injury situation was positive at the club, but he hinted there could be positive Covid cases in the squad which could impact the squad. .
“We had a few things but so far no one has trained,” Klopp said.
“We have on top of that, how everywhere COVID isn’t over, so those kinds of things that we also have – or had. We’ll see how it goes.
“We try absolutely everything to avoid that but obviously it’s not really possible. Players or staff who have had it now have absolutely no symptoms, that’s fine but they can’t be involved. We will see.
“They’re coming later today so we’re training a bit later, they’re not here yet. And so far I haven’t had any news. In terms of injuries, I think they should all be ready.
Ibrahima Konaté missed the midweek game against Inter Milan so it’s likely that Joel Matip will keep his place in defence, while Diaz could once again earn a place in the squad in place of Jota after his impressive early life in England.
Liverpool predicted XI (4-3-3): Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Keita, Diaz, Mane, Salah
