Live the Extraordinary with Transcendence Theater Company in Sonoma County

SONOMA, Calif. (KGO) – When the sun goes down, the stars come out – literally! This star-filled outdoor space hosts Broadway talent and performers from around the world.

“We brought people from Peru, we brought people from Colombia, we were able to bring people from different parts of the United States,” said Let’s Dance director/choreographer Luis Salgado.

“They’re singing and dancing amid the vines and stars and it’s the most amazing night,” said Amy Miller, Artistic Director/Founder of Transcendence Theater Company.

For 10+ years, Transcendence Theater Company has been California Wine Country’s premier live entertainment experience. It is known to be a place that hosts the “best night ever”.

Visitors can enjoy a picnic dinner with wine surrounded by the lush landscape of Jack London State Historic Park. Shortly after, they are swept into a fully staged evening of song and dance at the majestic ruins of an ancient winery, all set against a moonlit, star-studded night sky.

“All these people sitting at picnic tables, around hay bales, food trucks everywhere, beautiful rock and roll music,” Miller detailed. “The performance is just an electrifying experience. The element of nature really enhances everything. Sometimes there are shooting stars, there are birds flying overhead.”

Miller added, “There’s nowhere else on the planet, I can really say that, where that experience can come together like here.”

The 2022 season of Transcendence marks the 11th season for the company and the first full in-person season since 2019.

“Our 2022 season is all about hits. Our July 29-August 14 show is ‘Hurrah for Hollywood’. Audiences can expect to take a journey through the movies. We wrap up the season September 9-18 with ‘The Gala,’ which is our big Broadway party,” Miller said.
