Liverpool kick off their Champions League campaign with a tough tie against old enemies and Serie A giants AC Milan.

This will only be the second game between these two teams since Liverpool’s infamous ‘Miracle of Istanbul’, which then fell from three to three to claim Champions League glory in 2005.

Liverpool have started the new season well and will approach this game with confidence following their 3-0 win over Leeds on Sunday.

Milan will also have momentum after three of three Serie A wins so far this quarter.

Liverpool v AC Milan: kick-off date and time

This Group B meeting is scheduled for Wednesday September 15th. It will take place at Anfield with a kick-off at 8 p.m.

Liverpool have only faced the Italian club twice in their history, both in the Champions League final, winning fame in 2005 before losing 2-1 in the 2007 final.

Liverpool-AC Milan: TV channel and live broadcast

The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport 2, with coverage starting at 7 p.m.

BT Sport subscribers can stream this match live through the app on their computer, mobile devices and tablets.

Liverpool-AC Milan: Team news

Harvey Elliott of Liverpool suffered a horrific injury on Sunday as he was just starting to appear as a regular.

The midfielder has since traveled to London for ankle surgery and is expected to miss months of football.

Takumi Minamino is also injured and will miss the Champions League game.

Milan will be without star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to an Achilles tendon injury.

The late injury is the only problem affecting Stefano Pioli’s side.
