Leeds star Mateusz Klich shows battle scars, Illan Meslier makes injury statement and Luke Ayling admits celebration failed

Leeds star Mateusz Klich showed his minnow after a clash with team-mate Robin Koch against Wolves.

The Whites were unlucky at the start of the game as they were forced to make four substitutions, including one for a concussion.

That man was Klich, who faced Koch, and Charlie Cresswell replaced him with Jesse Marsch’s side 2-0 against their hosts.

Leeds, however, staged an incredible comeback and won 3-2 despite the changes, breathing more life into their fight for Premier League survival.

And, after the victory, the Pole proudly showed off his battle scars on social media.

Klich sported a swollen cheek under his right eye, while he also suffered a cut in the unfortunate incident.

Looking like a golf ball lodged in his cheek, the midfielder quipped: “Anyone lost a Pro V1?”

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Illan Meslier is another Leeds star who has been sent off with injury.

He has since made a statement on his fitness with the problem caused by a tackle which saw Wolves’ Raul Jimenez sent off for a second bookable offence.

Meslier said: “Thank you for all your messages! I’m fine considering the circumstances. The return and the victory of the team alleviate the pains. I am in good hands and hope to be back on the pitch soon.

And Leeds star Luke Ayling admitted the celebration after his game-winning strike on the night was a complete failure as he tried to replicate the former Elland Road striker’s famous roll and shot , Robbie Keane.

Speaking of his winner, he said: “I just put my head on it and smashed it as hard as I could! I tried to do the Robbie Keane celebration but couldn’t do the cartwheel, so I’ll have to work on that!
