Law enforcement on the southern border is a complete joke

“I spent three days on the front lines of the Biden administration’s illegal immigration crisis and found a border patrol that went from an enforcement agency to a concierge service,” Angie reports. Wong in The Post.

Worse: “The southern border of the United States has become a suggestion, a line that fades a little more each day.

Migrants are pouring into the country in droves, aided by cartel coyotes and left-leaning nonprofits; U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers do virtually no enforcement. There’s not enough.

So they resorted to labor with cartels and coyotes, coordinating on “when and where abandonments will take place”. It’s true: Uncle Sam has effectively handed over control of the border to the criminals who profit from moving people across it.

It’s a direct result of President Joe Biden’s burning mess of a border policy.

From Feb. 1 to Dec. 31, 2021, officers apprehended 1,956,596 illegal immigrants at the southern border, up from 511,192 under President Donald Trump a year earlier. This figure increased by 283%, a record. And countless Following migrants, even in large groups, manage to cross America undetected, let alone caught, to add to these statistics.

“Border Patrol pretends to patrol the border. Immigration and Customs Enforcement pretends to keep tabs on people arriving,” Wong notes. “President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris pretend to say: “Don’t come here,” but every signal — from the wide-open borders to the NGO welcome mat — says, “Come in!”

The White House’s only strategy seems to be: keep the flow going, have migrants travel across the country to spread the impact, trust the media not to report on it – and pretend nothing is really happening. Didn’t the left once claim to be the “reality-based” side of American politics?
