LAURA INGRAHAM: San Francisco’s far-left undeterred

Laura Ingraham discusses how liberal policies in San Francisco led the city to rising crime, drug addiction and the decline of “The Ingraham Angle”.

LAURA INGRAHAM: It’s homelessness, addiction, mental illness, business closures. Even long-time residents are now starting to leave. And who can blame them? High taxes, high crime – it just isn’t worth it for most families. Today, even after the recall of their radical DA Chesa Boudin, San Francisco is still down by about 500 police officers.

And by the way, the head of the police union says that number could top 800 by the end of the year. It’s a no-go area there. The city’s mayor, Democrat London Breed, has no real answers except that people need to feel safe, she says. Well, no kidding. And that of San Francisco two years of COVID lockdowns, well, that has predictably destroyed the commercial real estate market.

At present, San Francisco has 27.1 million square feet of available office space across the city. That’s a record and 50% of the current sublease space is set to expire in 2025. Look, if the choice is between working from home or going to a city that’s not safe, I’d probably stay at the house too. We see piles of human waste on the sidewalks and drug addicts shooting in the streets, the random violent attacks are on the rise. San Francisco’s far left – they’re undeterred.
