Top U.S. general secretly called on China over fears Trump would start war – report

The senior US general has secretly called his Chinese counterpart twice, fearing that then-President Donald Trump could start a war with China as his potential electoral loss loomed and following, reported Tuesday the Washington Post. US General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called in General Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army on October 30, 2020 – four days before the election – and again on January 8, two days after that Trump supporters waged a deadly riot campaign on the United States Capitol, the newspaper reported.
