‘Large police presence’ reported in Wheaton suburb, officials say – NBC Chicago

Suburban Wheaton officials are urging residents to avoid a stretch of Country Farm Road due to a ‘heavy police presence’ which has closed off part of the roadway.

According to Wheaton officials, a “heavy police presence” was reported in the County Farm Road and Roosevelt Road area.

Residents are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.

According to Total Traffic, County Farm Road is currently closed in both directions between Roosevelt Road and Manchester Road as of 7 p.m. The stretch of road contains several restaurants and outlets, including a large Kohl’s store.

It is not known at this time when the causeway will reopen or what caused the closure.
