La Tour d’Ariège, a new complex that delights Critourian footballers
In La Tour-du-Crieu (Ariège), the sports complex that emerged from the ground in 2022 offers facilities worthy of the name of the Critourian Women’s Football Club. It will soon host the headquarters of the district.
Critourian footballers have been enjoying their new setting for several months. In September 2022, the Tour d’Ariège sports complex was inaugurated. A three-million-euro project that delights FCCF members.
“The new complex was a big change, says Karine Artuso, the president. Today we have tools that allow us to work properly and play high quality football.” “It’s a pleasure to evolve there. We do all the training on the synthetic. For the learning of the little ones, it’s great”, adds the sports manager, Saïd Darraz.

“When I arrived at the town hall, the girls had no clubhouse, nothing. Today, they have facilities that many envy them”, assures the mayor of La Tour-du-Crieu, Jean-Claude Combres.
Brand new and equipped with three pitches (including one with natural grass), the complex also offers, from the meadow, a beautiful view of the Pyrenees chain. It is mainly used by the Critourian Women’s Football Club and the AS Critourian, men’s round ball team.
Note that from next June, the site will also host the headquarters of the Ariège football district, currently in Pamiers, since a building adjoining the stadium is being finished.
