Kylie Jenner reflects on how she kept her pregnancy with her daughter, Stormi Webster, a secret during the first episode of the Kardashian-Jenner family reunion with Andy Cohen.
The special, which aired Thursday night, revisited and relived the highlights of 20 seasons of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” on E!
Billed as a special in which nothing was forbidden for Cohen to ask, Bravo’s mastermind did just that: ask Kim about her sex tape, Kourtney about getting an easy pass to reveal her life to the cameras and ask Kylie about how why – she kept her pregnancy a secret in 2017.
“How did you hide yourself? Did you stay behind the portal and not get out? Cohen asked the founder of Lip Kit.
“I stayed in my house and in my neighborhood,” Jenner said. “And then towards the end there were helicopters every day, I couldn’t even leave my [house]. I couldn’t even get out because they would film all of my deliveries.
“I remember people thinking [a delivery] was a cradle, but it was like this piece of furniture that showed up in my house, ”she said, noting that all the attention“ was crazy ”and motioning that the helicopters were spinning“ all day ”.
“So I didn’t even leave,” she said.
Cohen also asked Kylie why she kept her pregnancy a secret and she replied that she had “shared so much of her life” already.
“I was also very young when I got pregnant. And that was just a lot to me, personally, ”said Kylie, who was 20 at the time. “I didn’t know how I was going to bring that to the audience as well and get, you know, everybody’s opinions. I think it was just something I had to go through on my own. So I decided not to even take care of that.
Khloe added that while Kylie kept the news as secret as possible from the general public, “it was very happy in our private life ”and his friends all knew that.
The news that Kylie was pregnant with her first child shocked the world when reports started to leak in 2017.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star had barely broken up with her occasional boyfriend, Tyga, and was in the early stages of her relationship with Travis Scott (real name Jacques Webster).
Kylie never officially announced her pregnancy, only sharing the exciting news with the world after giving birth to her daughter, Stormi.
And unlike previous family exclusives, usually kept for their E tube! show, she revealed the news on social media and included all the details in a YouTube video.
“I’m sorry I left you in the dark despite all assumptions,” Kylie wrote at the time. “I understand that you are used to me accompanying you on all my travels. My pregnancy was a pregnancy that I chose not to have in front of the world. I knew for myself that I had to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, healthy, and stress-free way that I know.
Part 2 of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians airs Sunday, June 20 at 9 p.m. ET / PT on E! You can also watch your favorite episodes of “KUWTK” on Paon.
