Kourtney Kardashian is catching heat from social media users after she shared a photo of a buffet in a bathroom.
On Tuesday, the reality TV star posted a photo snap that included a photo of a tiled floor in a bathroom covered in plates of food.
In an overhead snapshot, various dishes can be seen surrounding a tub filled with pink, sparkling water. There’s an array of fruit and desserts, an apparent bucket of champagne, and what appears to be a nibbled burger sitting on the toilet.
Some of Kardashian’s 216 million followers wasted no time in tossing the comments section under the photo, slamming the Poosh founder for the bathroom setup.
“Food on the toilet is nasty,” one user wrote alongside a nauseous face emoji.
Another wrote: “This bathroom scene is what nightmares are made of.”
“Put a burger on his toilet? ” I call the police ! It’s sick, says someone else.
Predictably, some fans also stepped up to defend Kardashian.
“People comment on food in the bathroom, but you take your phone to the bathroom and then have it at the table to take pictures of your food…same difference. Let Kourt live! one person supported.
Another wrote: ‘Lmao people talk about food in the bath as if your toilet is not in the same room as your bathtub… You never ordered room service and ate it in the bathtub ? So you’re not really living my friend.
Kardashian quickly addressed the commotion on Instagram. Sharing the tub photo, she wrote, “the comments on this photo” alongside a series of twirling-eye emojis.
She then clarified that the pictures of the food-filled bathroom were behind-the-scenes footage from a photoshoot last year with Ellen Von Unwerth for the plant-based chicken brand. Bold.
In June, Kardashian posed in the ad campaign alongside Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, just two days after the couple eloped in Las Vegas, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
Elsewhere in the campaign, lingerie-clad Kardashian and Barker can be seen devouring food in a hotel bed and snuggling up while eating vegan fried chicken from a bucket in a limo.
