Reality TV star Kim Zolciak-Biermann is opening up about her daughter’s recent drunken arrest.
Ariana Zolciak was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Cumming, Georgia, on Saturday with a police incident report revealing that she denied drinking alcohol but admitted that she “had smoked a THC vape pen”.
In an Instagram Story on Tuesday, Zolciak-Biermann defended her daughter by sharing a statement from their attorney: “Ariana was involved in a little run-in,” she began. “When the police arrived on the scene, the investigator immediately opened an investigation for driving while impaired by alcohol. Despite Ariana’s constant pleas that she was upset and anxious because of the minor accident , the officer incorrectly concluded that she was intoxicated. She was not.”
According to Us Weekly, Zolciak-Biermann also claimed her 20-year-old daughter was “not impaired by any substance, including alcohol or marijuana.”
“As she was cooperative and honest, she admitted to having used marijuana the day before, that is to say more than 24 hours before her contact with the justice,” added Zolciak-Biermann. “Furthermore, the arresting officer, as evidenced by his own police report, charged Ariana with impaired driving by alcohol. She completely denies these allegations and intends to fight these charges. because she is not guilty of it.”

After making safe contact with the drivers who stopped at a local gas station, the deputy said he smelled a “slight liquor odor coming from her breath as she spoke” but noted that ‘Ariana “denied consuming alcoholic beverages,” according to police.

In the report, the ‘Don’t Be Tardy’ star then told the officer she was ’20’ and when asked if she had consumed alcoholic beverages, ‘she said no’ .

“I asked Ariana to provide a breath sample for the preliminary breath test,” the report details. “She refused. I determined that Ariana was impaired by alcohol to the point that she was less safe to drive. I informed her that she was under arrest for impaired driving and I handcuffed her.”
The deputy searched her vehicle and “found a black vape pen in her purse” with a cartridge that contained “brown colored liquid and smelled like marijuana.”
Evidence was submitted for testing and she was taken to Forsyth County Jail where she refused to provide a blood test despite her prior consent.
“Ariana was cited for impaired driving, improper/erratic lane changing and underage drinking,” the report concludes.
In a statement provided by Ariana’s attorney after her arrest on August 13, she “totally denied” being “alcohol impaired” on the morning of the arrest.
“Ariana was involved in a minor skirmish,” her attorney, Justin Spizman of Hawkins Spizman, confirmed to Fox News Digital. “When the police arrived on the scene, the investigator immediately opened an investigation for impaired driving.
